Meet Our Team

Nicholas Zubi is Vice President and a licensed insurance agent at Sintra Insurance, where he works alongside his father, Nasser “Nick” Zubi, serving individuals, families, and businesses throughout the region. A graduate of Indiana University, Nicholas brings a broad range of experiences and a personal approach to helping clients understand their coverage and find insurance that fits their needs.

Before settling into his career in insurance, Nicholas spent time living and working in Germany and has traveled to 67 countries. Those experiences have given him the opportunity to meet people from many different backgrounds and perspectives—something he values when getting to know clients and understanding their individual situations.

Nicholas takes pride in helping grow the family business while maintaining the personal service of a local independent agency. He believes clients should understand what they’re buying and feel comfortable reaching out when they have a question or need help. His focus is on building lasting relationships and making the insurance process as straightforward as possible.

Nasser “Nick” Zubi is President and a licensed insurance agent at Sintra Insurance, bringing more than 24 years of experience in the insurance industry. Licensed in 12 states, Nick works with clients across a wide range of personal and commercial insurance needs. A lifelong Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana resident, he attended Richard J. Daley College and spent much of his career helping build and grow his brother’s insurance agency before founding Sintra Insurance alongside his son, Nicholas.

For Nick, opening Sintra was an opportunity to build something close to home—an independent, family-run agency rooted in the community where he has spent his life. In addition to working directly with clients, his extensive industry experience has made him an integral part of the accounting and behind-the-scenes operations that keep the agency running.

Experience Built on Relationships

Throughout his career, Nick has built lasting relationships by taking the time to talk with clients, understand their circumstances, and advocate for them when they need help. He believes being a good insurance agent means knowing the people behind the policies, not simply writing their coverage.

A father and longtime member of the local community, Nick also serves as an official for Indiana Swimming and has invested in local insurance agencies and carriers. Away from insurance, he’s an avid DIYer who has personally taken on everything from renovations to complete office build-outs—including much of the interior of Sintra Insurance’s Crown Point office.
